SOUTH KOREA-  HONG KONG AND CHINA

Presented and narrated by Travel Expert Nino Mohan

Maps are the best way to understand the geography so we will start with the geography of the area we are focusing today.

South Korea is known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital.  We will visit Seoul and its surrounding areas, then fly to Jeju Island and return to mainland to visit the second largest port city of Busan and continue our drive to Gyeongju, Andong, Daegu and some of the most picturesque national parks. Enjoy the peoples, cultures and the beauty of south Korea.

Once home to fishermen and farmers, modern Hong Kong is a teeming, commercially vibrant metropolis where Chinese and Western influences fuse. The former British colony became a special administrative region of China in 1997, when Britain’s 99-year lease of the New Territories, north of Hong Kong island, expired. See the wonders of this modern city and enjoy its delightful discoveries in almost every street, its festivals, food alleys, art scene, learn about Chinese Medicine shops and insta-tailoring shops, interesting neighborhoods, best spots for views, nature and its islands.

China is full of delightful surprises for seasoned travelers. We will focus our visits to the most important tourist sites in China but also on the ‘off the beaten’ path destinations to get a deeper insight into the ancient Chinese culture. Starting from Beijing we will visit over 20 cities and all regions of this vast country. Our tour will include Datong Wutai Mountain and Yungang Grottoes, Luoyang for Longmen Grottoes, bullet train to Xian to see the Terra Cotta army, visit the amazing AVATAR mountains in Zhangjiajie, Chengdu- Leshan the giant Buddha and Emei mountain, we cruise on the Yangtze River and see the largest dam in the world, fly to Kunming in Yunan to visit Shangi La, Lijiang and Dali. Also see the western most part of China.
